COUNTY     LOUTH

Dividing Line

The Barony.

The barony is thought to correspond to the Celtic tuath division. The number in County Louth has changed over the centuries although it consists of a number of townlands. It is no longer in use. However it is an important division in records of the seventeenth to nineteenth centuries.

Click THE BARONY for names and map in mid nineteenth century.
